In support of the Government's efforts to battle the Corona Virus Pandemic, the RCTC is taking into consideration the safety of its patrons and workforce. The club, therefore, has decided not to conduct the 'Live' and Inter-venue racing from Saturday, 14th March, 2020 till further notice.
A senior RCTC official also informed that the Delhi Race Club and the Madras race Club have also decided to go by the government's notification and have already stopped all horse racing related activities until further notice.
Bangalore Race Club (BTC), too, have cancelled March 13 fixture while efforts are on to hold March 14 meeting. However, a highly placed BTC source was of the view that it is going to be an exercise in futility.
The stewards of the Royal Western India Turf Club, on the other hand, will hold a meeting on Saturday to take the final decision about the fate of the remaining racing season.
